Link #98 - Wednesday

Greetings in the name of Jesus.

There is nothing recorded in scripture about what Jesus did on this day during Holy Week. It has been widely assumed that Jesus spent the day in Bethany resting in anticipation of the coming Passover Festival. Bethany is an interesting place to think about. It was about 2 miles from Jerusalem and was the home of his friends Mary, Martha and Lazerus. It was the place where Jesus had raised Lazerus from the dead recorded in John 11. By Jesus demonstrating his power over death there were many people who had come to believe he was the Messiah. Bethany is also the place where just a few days before Mary had anointed Jesus in John 12. Perhaps this is a good day to read those passages?
