Link #63 - Are you ready?

Greetings in the name of Jesus.

Have you ever realized you missed an opportunity? You were offered something that you just could not accept. Perhaps someone offered you a great deal on a purchase, but you never had the money. Or, you had a chance to take a trip but you did not have the time booked off at work. Isarel was given a great opportunity to enter a beautiful land that God had given them - but we read in Numbers 13 that they just were not ready. As a result they spent 40 years in the desert. Then they were again given an opportunity to move into that land, to get out of the desert. Chapters 1-4 of Joshua reveal for us how they prepared themselves..

As Israel approached this Promised land they wanted to make sure they never missed their opportunity so they took special care. If we want to be ready to take the “NEXT STEPS” that God has for us we also need to be preparing ourselves. Last week we recognized that Israel prepared for their next step by focusing on Gods promises and obeying his commands. By doing this they found the strength and courage they would need to be ready. This week we move on to chapter 2 to see how to further be ready for the next step that God has for us.
