Link #134 - End of the Beginning.
Greetings in the name of Jesus.
We are full steam ahead at Bloor Central. Our Christmas Kettle campaign is progressing along and we are hopeful to reach our $35,000 goal. All of the money raised from our Christmas fundraising goes toward our Food Center which includes the running of our food bank, and our community dinner (7 ate 9). If you have a few hours you can offer please contact Greg (416 531 8931 ex. 102) who is in charge of scheduling our volunteers.
Saturday evening we be serving our community meal (7 ate 9) from 4-6 pm. If you can drop by for a meal we would love to see you. It is good food, and more importantly an opportunity for good fellowship.
Sunday morning we meet to seek God together at 10am. This week we will conclude our study of the 12 Steps. But anyone who has worked the steps knows that completing the 12 Steps is just the beginning. It has been a powerful experience working through these steps together and we hope you can join us for our lesson and discussion on Sunday.
Sunday night it is time for one of our Bloor Central traditions with a new twist. Over Christmas we have been trying to make opportunity for us to simply enjoy the season together. Normally the second week in December we head to Dovercourt Park for a bonfire and sing some carols together. This year we were unable to get the firepit in the park - so we are meeting in our parking lot at Bloor Central. We’ve got a fire pit. We have a band. We have the hot chocolate. We have the fire wood. We have marshmallows for toasting. All we need is you (and as many friends and neighbors that you can bring). This is a very relaxed gathering which has been so enjoyable in years past. We hope you can join us Sunday evening at 6pm @ 789 Dovercourt.
Don’t forget that next Sunday (December 17) we get together for Bloorstock. It is our Christmas concert - 6pm @ 789 Dovercourt.
Blessings to all.
